ADDITIONAL DETAILS/COMMENTS:

The ADEQ Emergency Response Unit (ERU) was contacted in regards to a ruptured Pregnant Leach Solution pipeline which

occurred at the Phelps Dodge Bagdad facility on December 7, 2004.  Approximately 7484 pounds of leach solution with 2%

Sulfuric Acid was released onto soil within the facility.  The pipeline was repaired and clean up was underway.  The acid solution

has been neutralized and returned to a leach dump area within the facility.  No further action is necessary.
